WATCH: Heartwarming moment 88-year-old dementia sufferer remembers Celtic songs from when she was a child

This is the heartwarming moment an 88-year-old Glasgow grandmother remembers words to a song she sang as a child.

The video of dementia sufferer Kate from the east end of Glasgow was posted on twitter by her granddaughter Natalie who said: “She doesn’t even remember my name but remembers all the old Celtic songs.”

In the tear jerking video of the two bonding one of the clips is captioned “She taught me so I will teach her it back” as the sing along to a song about 1920’s and 30’s Celtic hero Jimmy McGrory.

And Natlie says that Kate, who turned 88 yesterday, is a “Typical east end granny and an old rebel”

Happy birthday Kate.
