“The future’s bright”: Rangers to get new orange away strip for next season

When Rangers announced a new kit-deal with Danish company Hummel it’s fair to say that not everyone was too excited by it.

In fact a fair few of them were down right disgusted by the idea when it was first leaked on Twitter during the week.

But if rumours of a popular old away kit making a comeback are true then it could be enough to raise spirits amongst fans of the crisis hit club.

A bright orange third-kit similar to 2002/03’s so called tangerine attempt has been circulating on social-media bringing a smile to the faces that have been on a permanent frown ever since Sunday’s cup semi-final thrashing to Celtic.

No doubt the new top will be popular amongst the masses but the thousands who buy it will also be hoping the players getting paid to wear it can bring back some of the glory of the last side to wear it.

Rangers famously won the Scottish Cup after turning Hampden into a sea of orange in tribute to a string of Dutch internationals at the club.

Nowadays they would be happy to even have a couple of Scottish nationalists in the team.

What do you think about the new kit ? Hit or miss?
