Scottish Football’s new social media sweetheart? Will Rangers TV girl take Summer’s crown

Despite not yet haven lost a game in the league and still heading for a domestic treble Celtic fans were crying into their cornflakes this week when Celtic TV host and every da’s favourite twitter personality Summer Harl announced she was leaving the club.

It’s not clear why Summer is leaving the club however it comes exactly a month since she suddenly quit Twitter after a barrage of abuse and sexist comments aimed at her- amid rumours of an incident at the clubs winter retreat in Dubai.

But Ms Harl leaving left a gap in the market for someone else to take up- step forward Glasgow rivals Rangers with their own English Rose.

Geordie girl Alice Hedworth’s popularity has been rising since making her debut on Rangers TV in 2015 when she quickly became the sweetheart of all online Rangers fans.

Alice has been grabbing a lot of attention at Ibrox

With her bubbly personality and infectious smile it’s clear to see why the Geordie stunner has built up an impressive twelve-thousand followers on Twitter.

Before joining the Ibrox club she also worked for Newcastle United and Sky Sports- but it’s since coming to Glasgow that she has seen her popularity continue to soar.

A graduate of the City Journalism university in London she cites her main talents as pouting and knowing the offside rule.

Natural red-head Alice is a huge football fan and has followed her girlhood? club Newcastle United all her life and she is delighted to have such a major role at a club the size of Rangers.

And with Rangers going through some dark times who would grudge them at least shining light in the shape of a likeable ginger Geordie-Lass.

But we will need to wait and see if she can live up to the high standards set by Summer who melted the heart of Paul the Tim and a thousand Celtic da’s in her three year spell at the club.
