Celtic fans could be facing their worst fears with at least two EPL clubs wanting to lure fans favourite Kieran Tierney down south by offering the chance to team up with best Paddy Roberts.
Former champions Leicester City are keen to link the two up again with Roberts currently being offered as part of a deal that will see Rhyad Mahrez sign for Manchester City- and could be set to test Celtic’s resolve by offering somewhere between £15 million and £20 million for the Scotland left back.
Winger Roberts will end a 2 and a half year loan spell at Celtic and look to conquer the big money league in his home country.
It’s not known how keen die hard Celt Tierney, who signed a 6 year deal at Celtic Park last year, would be on a move to the King Power Stadium and he would probably need a lot of convincing by his bestie if he is to give up on his 10 in a row dream in green and white hoops.
But reports online are also now linking Champions League contenders Tottenham Hotspur with a move for both players and the chance to team up with players like England captain Harry Kane (along with a transfer fee and weekly wage that Celtic or Leicester couldn’t realistically turn down or compete with) might just be enough to drag the 21 year old away from the club he loves.
It is believed Roberts is ready to jump at the chance to join Spurs and won’t finalise any deal with Leicester until that issue has been resolved.
